Common Questions

Employer FAQ

The questions we hear most often — answered honestly.

How quickly can you supply workers?

For temporary and ad hoc requirements we can typically supply vetted, right-to-work-verified workers within 24–48 hours. For same-day emergencies, call Ben directly on 024 7786 0209, 01392 964229 or 07904 262488 — we operate an out-of-hours line for urgent requirements.

What is your rebate policy if a permanent placement leaves early?

We operate a sliding-scale rebate on permanent placements. If a candidate leaves within the agreed rebate period, we will either replace them at no additional cost or provide a pro-rata refund — whichever you prefer. Full terms are provided in writing before any placement is made.

What notice periods apply to temporary workers?

Temporary workers are supplied on a flexible basis with no minimum commitment. You can release workers at any time with reasonable notice (typically 24 hours). We ask for the same courtesy in return so we can redeploy workers fairly.

How do you handle compliance and right-to-work checks?

Every candidate is right-to-work verified before they set foot on your site. We are UKVI-compliant, carry out internal and external audits, and maintain a dedicated compliance manager. Licence verification is carried out for all driving roles. You will never receive a worker who has not been fully vetted.

Do you supply workers outside the Midlands?

Yes — we have successfully supplied staff outside the Midlands since 2009 and have national coverage. This includes the South West, North West, North East and Northampton, among others. Whether you need temporary cover for a depot relocation, a peak-season surge or an ongoing managed service, we can support you wherever you are in the UK. Contact Ben directly to discuss your location and requirements.

What is a managed service plan and is it right for my business?

A managed service plan means MCI takes full responsibility for your on-site temporary workforce — including recruitment, onboarding, welfare, KPI reporting and performance management. We currently run 12+ managed service plans. It suits businesses with a consistent, high-volume need for temporary labour where reliability and accountability are critical.

What sectors do you specialise in?

We specialise in logistics and distribution, warehousing and manufacturing, and transport and driving. Ben spent four years as a warehouse shift supervisor at Bibby Distribution and four years as a transport planner at Kuehne+Nagel — there is no one better placed to understand your operation.
